What we look for
Short version: real people with real stories, and work we can check.
Yes, bring these
- Real experiences and tangible cases, with someone willing to talk about them.
- Alternative ancient history and lost history, from people who show their sources.
- Well-sourced conspiracies, where there are documents, records or named witnesses.
Skip these
- Spiritual or New Age topics, such as:
- Tarot, oracle and angel cards
- Energy healing, Reiki and chakra work
- Astrology and horoscopes
- Crystals and sound healing
- Manifesting and the law of attraction
- Spiritual coaching and life coaching
- Mediums and psychics are a tough fit. The audience hasn't taken to them, so they rarely work on the show. Only add one if there is a documented case or something strong to back it up, and say what in Notes.
- Not sure if someone fits? Add them anyway and say why in Notes. Rye will decide.
Recent work (optional)
If they've written a book, run a channel, or been on another show or interview lately, add it in "Recent work / why them". It helps Rye check them out quickly, but it's just a suggestion.
How it works
- You add a guest. Leave Rye's Call alone, that's Rye's part. The status updates itself as things happen.
- Rye reviews every guest and picks Yes, Maybe or No.
- Only Yes guests get contacted, and Rye does the contacting.
- Your Progress tab counts every guest you bring in and every one that gets a Yes.
Duplicates
When you type a name, email or website, the portal checks if that guest was already submitted. If they were, you'll see a heads up. You can still submit if you have something new to add. Say what's new in Notes so Rye sees it right away.
